Dr. Rodrigo Vargas Gaete
Postdoctoral researcher of the Laboratory of Biometrics , Universidad de La Frontera.
Ph.D. in natural resources (Albert- Ludwigs University Freiburg, Germany 2013) Forestry Engineer (Universidad Austral de Chile, 2004).
Research Interests: His research is rooted in the conservation and restoration of forests and natural ecosystems. His research work has focused mainly on the "endemic forest" at Robinson Crusoe Island (Juan Fernández Archipelago), where he studied the ecology of plant regeneration and evaluated scenarios for restoration.

Dr. Andres Fuentes Ramirez
Postdoctoral researcher of the Laboratory of Biometrics , Universidad de La Frontera.
Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology (Iowa State University, USA 2015).
Master in botany (Universidad de Concepcion, Chile 2010).
Biologist in natural resources (Universidad Catolica de Temuco, Chile 2006).
Research Interests: His research interests include the ecology of invasive plant species and their impacts on natural communities. In addition, he has developed his research in fire ecology and its impact on desert ecosystems of North America. Other interests include biodiversity conservation, spatial patterns analysis, modeling and simulation applied to disturbed ecosystems.
